Progressed Moon

The Progressed Moon. There are many ways of calculating a chart – everyone has their favourite. Personally, I use the Solar Chart (which puts the degree of the Sun as the 1st house cusp) in this way we take away the ambiguity of the Ascendant (which requires the exact time of birth) in using this system –and there are many systems – your Progressed Moon is calculated. No matter which system you use – the sign of the Progressed Moon will always be the same but the house will be different! As mentioned I have found this system helpful, beneficial and accurate for I’m endeavouring to make the complex art/science of Astrology accessible and available to all, taking away the jargon…

In order to know or ‘experience’ the background of your life for any period by understanding the concept of the Progressed Moon let me say this: your overall mood is symbolised by the Progressed Moon’s Sign. [For example: my Progressed Moon is in Aquarius – giving my temperament to be somewhat Aquarian in nature!] However, the House position is where I’ll be responsive or, able to focus my thinking. Another example: My Progressed Moon (no matter which system I use) is Aquarian now in the 3rd House (Using the Solar Chart) having come out of the 2nd It will remain in the 3rd House for approx 2 ½ years but will change ‘sign’ during this time and become a Pisces Progressed Moon – thereby altering my disposition and response to 3rd House activities. It’s in the understanding of this concept you’ll come to understand the essence of your Progressed Moon.

The House position of your progressed Moon indicates areas of life where you’ll be ‘pulled’ or, become more ‘conscious.’ The ‘journey’ of the Progressed Moon often causes or manifests a decisive event or experience (more so when entering or leaving a house or changing sign) re-shaping your life in some way- taking you up and outward or, down and inward! Focus your attention on where your Progressed Moon is located (by sign and house) in order you become conscious (in control) of the process and not unconsciously reacting (out of control) to the process going on within…

The Progressed Moon triggers reaction, awakens memories and awakens your potential – ‘activating’ any planet in any house it enters. Your Moon will be experienced in your own way, channeled by the sign and house placement and any aspects it makes with other planets and points in your chart. No one can have a pure experience of the lunar archetype because nothing exists in isolation. The information offered will give you some idea as to what kind of experiences – peak or otherwise – you’ll encounter. Even though there are many born to the same date of birth we are all different – not having the same mother, nurturing, life-style, education or background, etc.

This is the ‘secret’ of understanding Astrology for we are all born to …

Flow And Kitchen Design

Let’s take a look at some common flow plans for food preparation that you’ll discover inside the kitchen. The most basic, and most desirable, flow plan is the straight line, also known as the assembly-line flow. Materials move steadily from 1 procedure to another in a straight line. This type of style minimizes backtracking; it saves preparation time and confusion about what’s going out of the kitchen area and what’s coming back in.

The straight-line arrangement functions nicely for little installations because it can be placed against a wall and adapted to the cooks’ duties. Wherever there isn’t enough room to arrange food preparation in a straight line, a well-liked and efficient option is the parallel flow. There are four variations of the parallel style:

1. Back to back. Gear is arranged inside a long, central counter or island in two straight lines that run parallel to every other. Sometimes a four- or five-foot room divider or low wall is positioned between the two lines. It’s primarily a safety precaution, which keeps noise and clutter to a minimum and prevents liquids spilled on 1 side from spreading onto the other. Nevertheless, placement of a wall here also makes cleaning and sanitation a lot more hard. The back-to-back arrangement centralizes plumbing and utilities;

you may not need to install as many drains, sinks, or outlets, as both sides from the counter can share the same ones. A back-to-back arrangement in which the pass window is parallel to (and behind one of) the production places is sometimes recognized as a California-style kitchen. When the pass window is located perpendicular towards the production line, it might be referred to as a European-style kitchen area style. The benefit from the European style is that each cook on the line can see the progression of multiple dishes that make up 1 table’s order.

2. Face to face. In this kitchen area configuration, a central aisle separates two straight lines of gear on either side from the room. Sometimes the aisle is wide sufficient to add a straight line of worktables among the two rows of gear. This setup works well for high volume feeding facilities like schools and hospitals, but it doesn’t take benefit of single source utilities. Even though it’s a great layout for supervision of workers, it forces individuals to perform with their backs to one another, in effect, separating the cooking from the food from the rest from the distribution procedure. Therefore, it’s most likely not the best style for a restaurant.

3. L-shape. Wherever room isn’t sufficient for a straight-line or parallel arrangement, the L-shape kitchen design is nicely suited to access several groups of gear, and is adaptable for table service restaurants. It gives you the ability to place more equipment inside a smaller room. You’ll often find an L-shape design in dish washing areas, using the dish machine positioned at the center corner from the L.

4. U-shape. This arrangement is seldom used, but it’s ideal for a little …

How to Build an Electric Generator to Power the House?

Would you like to learn how to build an electric generator to power the house? Using a renewable household electricity generating system has many benefits, both environmentally and economically. By producing electric at home with renewable sources, there will not be emissions of harmful gases. Also, such a generator has been able to help me save a lot of money that I would have had to pay for the electricity.

1. How Much Will It Cost To Build The Whole Electric Generator System And How To Built It?

The 2 most feasible solutions are wind turbines or solar power generators, and you can choose to build either one or even both if conditions allow you to use them. The guide that I use contains a whole list of all the parts required to build both the solar and wind powered system.

The wind turbines will require you to get PVC pipe for building the blades. If you are thinking of building bigger turbines, you will probably have to build wooden blades instead to reduce the possibility of them breaking. For the body of the turbine, you will need to have a 40 foot TV tower. All the parts can be easily acquired for a small cost or even free if you look for them at the right places.

2. Why Build Your Own Homemade Electric Generator Instead of Buying A Ready Made One?

Making the whole homemade electric generator system by myself has costed only about $ 180 for both the wind and solar powered ones. This system will have to be bought for at least $ 4,000 if they are in ready-made condition. Of course, building your own system will some time and you may also take some time to understand the guide first, so it is up to you to weigh the costs and benefits.

Thousands of people have already eliminated their own home electricity bills with the free energy system. They learned how to build it by downloading a step-by-step guide online. You can find out more about how to build this home power system at the website link below. …

5 Iguana Facts Many People Don’t Know

Iguanas are a well known and are generally well-liked among the human population. However, unless you are a lizard lover or basically a iguana lover, there are some things you may not know about this interesting creatures. Listed below are five facts about iguanas that you may not know.

1. Iguanas are herbivores. This means they do not eat meat but rather plants. Some sources cite that iguanas are omnivores. Yet, iguanas should not eat animal product because their metabolism is better adapted to absorbing the proteins of a plant. Animal proteins are too multifaceted for iguanas, it won’t be used right. Basically, the proteins that animals have cannot be absorbed into the iguanas’ bodies for nutrients.

What, then, happens to the proteins not absorbed? It turns into uric acid that is very dangerous for an iguana. When a build up for the uric acid happens in the iguana, it turns into a gout. Animal proteins can be very hard for iguana’s digestive system to get rid of, putting pressure on the reptiles’ kidneys. In turn, causing the reptile to have kidney complications. Feeding an iguana animal products will indeed shorten the lifespan of the iguana.

2. Iguanas Are Trainable. For those who think iguanas would be nice to have but are pretty stupid, you might be surprised to learn that iguanas are just as smart as a dog or even a cat. An iguana can be taught to things like human beings. Some people have taught their pet to use the bathroom while others have trained their iguanas to do many tricks. If lost, some iguanas can find their way home.

This is just to show you that even reptiles can learn things, provided their trainers take the time to teach them. People often are too quick to judge other animals because they are lower than other animals.

3. Iguanas do grow. Just because you bought your iguana’s cage to fit him does not mean, he will always fit in that cage. Some iguanas have grown to six feet long. This is especially true if the iguana has a loving habitat and environment that will more than adequately let the iguana grow. When debating the size of the iguana’s cage, a person should always keep in mind how long the iguana can grow for and plan accordingly to avoid future issues.

4. Iguanas are arboreal. What does this mean for its owner. Remember that iguanas in the wild spend a good chunk of time in trees. To stimulate growth of the iguana, an owner should stimulate its habitat as well. Place some type of climbing material in the iguana’s home although you do not need to place “real” trees to create the official effect. Just something as simple as a post can let your iguana feel like they are back in the wild, perched on the tree.

5. Iguanas crave sunlight – Like most things that grow, iguanas need sunlight too. Not only to have the light but to …

Fresh Flowers vs Dry vs Artificial

What will it be fresh flowers, dry, or artificial ones? Now here is a dilemma many people have when it comes to choosing the best flower arrangement for a special occasion or just for a home decoration. The decision is easier to make if you consider a few factors such as budgeting or personal taste. But from past experience, you should definitely go with fresh flower arrangements especially if you want to use them as a symbol of your personality and style.

1. Artificial flower arrangements

The majority of people who choose artificial flowers do it because they require no maintenance. All you have to do is put the floral arrangement it in a corner, forget about it and go about your business, because you won’t have to worry about any water spills or having to change the soil or even prune the leaves. So you can simply consider it a part of the static decor of your office or home. Artificial flowers might require a little cleaning every once in a while, but don’t worry too much about it: all you have to do is wipe them with a damp cloth.

Another advantage of purchasing artificial flowers would be the price. Most of the times the cost of artificial flowers is lower than the price of natural flowers, however, remember that the quality often matches the price of the artificial flower product.

Now if you are thinking about giving a gift of artificial flowers to someone dear, think twice before you go shopping. Sure, artificial flowers might last longer, but fresh flower arrangements are truly an expression of love and respect. Would you really want to give a plastic flower arrangement to your wife, mother, or sweetheart? It might last for years, but the memory of that wonderful, fresh flower arrangement will last forever, just as love stays in a person’s soul rather than in objects.

Why would people want to use artificial flower arrangements instead of using natural, fresh, flowers? Well, I can tell you a couple of good reasons. By all means, buy artificial flowers if you are allergic to real ones or if the person to whom you want to give a gift of flowers to is.

Another good reason to choose artificial flowers instead of fresh ones would be location. Yes, the location because if, let’s say, you want fresh roses as an example for your wedding and you live in a remote area, it could be pretty expensive to import them for the ceremony. Just stick with some quality silk roses instead and use the budget for something else. On the other side, think about a wedding on a hot summer day; fresh flowers may wilt because of the summer heat, but artificial ones won’t, but if you are planning everything carefully, you can easily adapt in order to find the best natural flowers for your ceremony. (Find local types of flowers in remote areas and make sure you have refrigeration for the flowers …

The Importance of Shower Window Curtains

Shower window curtains allow lighting to come into the inside stall or tub area for greater visibility and privacy while taking an enjoyable shower or bath. These curtains are water and mildew resistant, made out of high quality vinyl. Their opaque section comes in a variety of pleasing solid colors as well as the standard white or beige. They are easy to match with other bathroom accessories and decor. These curtains look fabulous with a shower valance or external print curtain as well as one that is lacey. These windowed curtains come in the same sizes as the opaque standard curtain and affix to the shower rod like an ordinary shower curtain, with decorative rings or hooks. They are an excellent replacement for the conventional shower curtain; lending elegance and luxuriousness to any bathroom.

The top window section of this kind of curtain only reveals the top of a person’s shoulder, neck and head. Complete privacy is absolutely assured. The person enjoying their time in the stall can see out of the top window section. No longer does one have to feel completely enclosed and separate from the rest of the bathroom. For a guest bathroom, they give a showering or bathing moment luxury that a guest might not have at his or her home. They are opulent and can make the stall or tub seem more appealing, instead of a small and cramped space. This could facilitate one’s guest feeling very welcome throughout the visit.

They are a good value and are easy to replace if one decides to change the bathroom’s colors or decor. These can update an older bathroom’s look into a more contemporary and stylish ensemble. This special window topped type of curtain is uniquely different and eye appealing; a great accessory.

As an excellent bathroom necessity, these keep the water and soap suds from leaving the stall or tub area. A person does not have to worry about water leaking onto the floor or rugs while showering; prevents those undesirable soapy water spots from forming around the bottom of the exterior of the tub or stall. This kind of curtain keeps the outer-side of the tub streak free; keeps soap and water where they belong. Shower window curtains are great to have in any bathroom.…

Heidegger – Language is the House of Being

Language is the house of Being. In its home man dwells. Those who think and those who create with words are the guardians of this home.” – Martin Heidegger, German philosopher, Letter on Humanism, 1947.

The philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset once said that man had no nature, only history. While I respect this opinion, I think that man’s real human nature is language. Just as the lesser god Prometheus handed fire to man, a major God handed a major boon to mankind: language.

After years of pondering whatever Martin Heidegger meant by “Language is the House of Being,” it finally dawned on me (as I watched catatrophic news on TV) that Heidegger meant language is not only a construct, a shelter, an edifice, an abode, but the soul of humanity–container of infinity.

Through language we search heaven and earth; through language we accept or reject God; through language we accept or reject the absolutes that guide the human race.

And yes, it is only through language that we experience aesthetic bliss–and love. Although bliss and love are more akin to the emotional life, the viscera, the central nervous system, the body can only partially express bliss and love. Language is indispensable, or if not, then try to tell that to painters, poets, and writers.

Take Trollope (in History of Pendennis):”It is best to love wisely, no doubt; but to love foolishly is better than not to be able to love at all.” And Trollope went on to fill library shelves with language and love.

We think and we feel by using words. Though words are more adept and adequate to thinking than to feeling, we still recognize that even our deepest emotions must be converted into words to express what we feel. When we immerse ourselves in a good book we feel with and for the characters: with Don Quijote and Sancho we experience the real meaning of friendship; with Anna Karenina and Aschenbach we feel the exquisite pangs of deeply tormented souls; with Remedios The Beauty we ascend to heaven.

Can we build science without language? Isn’t language the vessel of patterns, axioms, equations, paradigms, and formulas? Is wisdom achievable without language?

Even the most recalcitrant nihilist or atheist needs language to refute the existence of God; the same God that gave him the gift of language.

When humans master a language, they are never homeless. Even when their houses burn–as we watched the flames destroy thousands of houses in San Diego, California–their spirit, their humanity survives in the House of Being–Infinity.…
